New measures to limit COVID-19 in Alberta

March 17, 2020

The government will declare a state of public health emergency later today, empowering authorities under the Public Health Act to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic

Alberta’s Provincial Operations Centre has also been elevated from a level 3 to a level 4, the highest level.

Effective immediately and until further notice, the Alberta government is implementing additional measures, including cancelling events that have more than 50 people.

Dear IVSA members:  (Issued MARCH 17th, 2020)
    During this time of uncertainty, I wanted to reach out on behalf of the IVSA Board of Directors and our Administration, with the hope that all our members, their staff and families are safe and informed.
    Over the next few days, I hope to update you on what you need to know as an employee and employer regarding COVID 19 affects on our industry.  Updates will include any Federal guidelines for employees to stay at home. Financial relief for business and employees at this time of need.


LDB Wholesale: Inbound Shipment Handbook

The Liquor Distribution Branch’s Wholesale Operations operates two distribution centres located in Delta and Kamloops. Both facilities provide receiving, warehousing and delivery services to private retailers and BC Liquor Stores.

To assist vendors in preparing shipments to our warehouses, the LDB has created a new Inbound Shipment Handbook now available on our Wholesale Operations website
