Chateau Hostens-Picant is a non-standard Bordeaux winery, family owned and run, quality-focused with a sense of place.
Yves and Nadine Hostens-Picant acquired the winery in 1986 and basically started from scratch. The winery covers now 40ha, the two daughters are taking over with energy! We are on a great terroir in AOC Sainte Foy Bordeaux (between St Emilion and Bergerac) with clay, limestone and parts with flint which offer wines of good balance, elegance with minerality. Pioneer on the appellation, Chateau Hostens-Picant has become the leader there. We practice sustainable viticulture and are making tests to convert to organic. Stephane Derenoncourt is our consultant. It's really an up and coming estate. No negoce, we control and work on a quality distribution, don't go through La Place.
Our wines are being served on tables like Guy Savoy, Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Georges Blanc, Michel Rostang, also on Singapore Airlines Business class…
