Chateau Hostens-Picant is a non-standard Bordeaux winery, family owned and run, quality focused.
Yves and Nadine Hostens-Picant acquired the winery in 1986 and basically started from scratch. The winery now covers 40ha, the two daughters are taking over. We are on a great terroir in OAC Sainte Foy Bordeaux (between St. Emilion and Bergerac) with clay, limestone and parts with flint which offer wines of good balance and freshness. Pioneers on the appellation, Chateau Hostens-Picant has become the leader there. We practice sustainable viticulture and are making tests to convert to organic. We control and work on quality distribution, and do not go through La Place.
Above all, the family and team are generous and passionate, with a great approach like the wines have a good character, and are being served on tables like: Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Georges Blanc, Michel Rostang...
