ABOUT IVSA

The Import Vintners & Spirits Association is a non-profit association formed in 1975 by a group of beverage alcohol import agents who felt a united voice should be heard when communicating with the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch and their political masters. In 2009, the IVSA consolidated operations with the Beverage Alcohol Importers Council of Alberta (BAICA). It is now the largest representative body of import agents in Canada.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Our partnership with the BCLDB, BC Hospitality Foundation and the AGLC are paramount. We hold a number of social events that include a golf tournament, softball game, barbecue and an annual festive lunch. These events are extremely well attended by agents and industry partners.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

MEMBERSHIP DUES - (updated October 2011) Membership dues cover the period January 1st to December 31st each year. Fees are calculated in BC based on retail sales: Full Agent Membership >$10 Million $2,200 $1 Million - $10 Million $1,100 <$1 Million $ 550 In Alberta, Fees are based on wholesale sales as follows: >$7.5 Million $2,200 $750K - $7.5 Million $1,100 <$750K $ 550 $1,000 Associate Membership - Warehouse & Distribution $250 Associate memberships - Hospitality Trade (increased from $200 to $250 for 2012) $250 Consular membership (increased from $200 to $250 for 2012) You may apply for membership directly on the "Join the IVSA" page.
